Normally people at a store or online,  enquire about 100% cotton bedsheet..they think that is all … What we should know before buying a bedsheet?  Here comes the answer.
We have to know the type of fabric, comfort and climatic condition, durability etc. etc..

• Cotton :  This material is natural, breathable, hypoallergenic durable, absorbent and is widely used for its softness and affordability. It is very good for the summer season, but may not be the best option for the Winter and Monseen season.  Remember it wrinkles easily, fades over time, and is slower drying.  
• Egyptian cotton :  Its very soft and durable known for its long fibres, Premium category expensive good for cold
• Supima cotton : is a premium, American-grown cotton known for its exceptional softness, strength, and color retention.  Its fiber is short as compared to Egyptian and long compared to normal cotton.
• Linen : It is highly breathable, non allergic, durable and eco friendly material, but has some drawbacks like easily wrinkable and has a rustic rumpled look. Require gentle care
• Bamboo : Ultra soft, Hypoallergenic, Eco Friendly material. It regulates body temperature, suitable for sweaty sleepers, but it is highly delicate, wrinkable and expensive.
• Microfiber : Made up of fine Synthetic fibres like Polyester  or Polyester-nylone blend.  It is soft and  affordable, durable and wrinkle resistant. As it is not breathable, not suitable for hot climatic conditions.
• Silk : Ultra soft luxurious feel, temperature regulating material, non allergic, breathable, suitable for luxury bedrooms and beauty conscious individuals as it is gentle for skin and hair.  On the other hand it is very expensive, delicate and slippery, wrinkable require high maintenance.
• Flannel : It is a soft, warm cotton fabric typically blended with Wool or synthetic fabric. It gives a soft and cozy feel, excellent for the Winter or Monsoon season.  Then what you should consider to select this material, it very heavy, prone to pilling of course not suitable to sweat sleepers
